Tilapia farmers are organised in a loose technical and marketing group that shares information, virtually on a daily basis, with each other. This group uses a WhatssApp platform for discussion, and comprises about 15 of the most active members of the tilapia farming sector. The group is representative of tilapia farmers in most provinces, and meets for discussions several times a year. The group is also active in engaging with government departments such as DAFF and DEA to discuss urgent permitting and sectorial interests. Please contact me for more information.
